Window air conditioners are designed to cool only a single room. It is very difficult for such AC to cool an entire house. At most you can cool two adjacently connected tiny rooms with a single window AC, but there will be uneven cooling.
Window AC is designed only for single room
In window AC both the evaporator and condenser part is packed inside a single unit.
This makes it a cheap solution for single room cooling which has some kind of window.
Window AC is very good at spot cooling i.e, if you sit close to this AC you will get direct airflow whereas if you sit in the corner of the room, the cooling will not be the same.
Not Good for Uniform Cooling of the room
Window AC is a cheap solution and is best for a tiny room.
If you want to cool an entire house with 3-4 rooms, then a window AC is not a good option.
To cool the entire house you need a separate window AC for each room.
This is not a viable option.
Look for Central Air Conditioning System
For the entire house we have central air conditioning systems where the condenser unit is placed outside and the furnace or evaporator coil is placed inside and the cool air produced at the evaporator coil is distributed in the entire house through ducts.
You can also look for a multi-zone mini-split AC system which is also designed to cool an entire house with several rooms and are better at uniform cooling from central air conditioners.
You can use for two connected rooms
If you still want to use a window AC.
You can use it for two tiny rooms adjacently connected with each other.
Calculate the cooling capacity or tonnage based on the room size. You will need to use a ceiling fan or air cooler for better air circulation and directing the cool air from one room to the other.
